World Mental Health Day 2026

Bringing Communities Together Through Awareness, Education, and Hope

October 10, 2026

On October 10, 2026, the World Bipolar Foundation, in partnership with the West Modesto Community Collaborative and Tell My Story, hosted a powerful World Mental Health Day event at the West Modesto Community Collaborative Wellness Center in Modesto, California.

The event brought together community members, families, mental health advocates, and local organizations for a meaningful day of education, connection, and conversations surrounding mental health awareness.

A highlight of the event was a special screening of the documentary What I Wish My Parents Knew, a moving film exploring the mental health challenges facing young people and the importance of communication, understanding, and support within families. The screening was followed by an engaging panel discussion and Q&A featuring local mental health professionals, providing attendees with valuable insights and resources.

The celebration also featured community mental health organizations, cultural entertainment, and opportunities for attendees to connect with local services and support networks.

World Bipolar Foundation Founder and President Veronica Jacuinde shared her personal mental health journey, delivering a message of resilience, recovery, and hope.

The event was a powerful reminder that mental health affects us all, and through education, compassion, and open conversations, we can break stigma, strengthen families, and build healthier communities.

Together, we are changing the conversation around mental health—one story, one family, and one community at a time. 💚
